Get the right glass and fitting

A Porsche windscreen is part of the vehicle’s glazing and bonding system. Depending on the car, it can also support a camera, rain and light sensors, a head-up display or acoustic and solar-control features. A matching outline alone does not establish that a replacement screen is the right one.

We begin with the damage and fitted specification, then explain repair or replacement and the glass options available. You receive a quote that identifies the supplied glass, fitting work and relevant setup, so a low glass-only price is not mistaken for the complete job.

Tell us whether the concern is a stone chip, spreading crack, leaking bond, optical distortion or damage following an impact. A photograph is useful for arranging the visit, but suitability for repair and the final parts match may require inspection. You can start the enquiry without knowing the glass part number.

Estimated range for suitable replacement glass and standard fitting. Exact features and model must match the car.
OEM-supplier or genuine glass option
AED 2,500–5,000
Estimated glass and fitting range; the quotation identifies whether the supplied screen is Porsche-branded genuine glass or an OEM-supplier option.
Camera calibration where required
AED 500–1,000
Additional allowance for the relevant system and procedure. The need and whether it is included are confirmed in the written quote.
Additional trims, clips or aperture repair
After inspection
Damaged trim, missing clips, corrosion or previous fitting defects are separate findings, explained before extra work.

Estimated prices in AED. The starting replacement price applies to a compatible aftermarket option and standard fitting, not every Porsche specification. Uncommon glass, HUD or other features can increase cost. The quote confirms the glass identity, adhesive, labor, sensor work, any calibration, additional parts and applicable VAT.

Can the damage be repaired?

Some localized impact damage can be repaired when its type, position, depth and surrounding glass condition make that appropriate. Assessment considers whether the damage affects the driver’s view, extends towards an edge, has spread or involves more than a suitable outer-layer defect.

A long or growing crack, unsuitable impact damage, significant edge damage or another structural concern can require replacement. We do not decide by a universal coin-size rule or promise that every chip can be made invisible. A successful repair can leave a visible mark while stabilizing suitable damage.

If the glass is leaking without an obvious crack, the issue may involve the bond, aperture, trim or another water-entry path. Confirming the source is useful before ordering a new screen. Pouring sealant around visible trim is not automatically a sound repair for a defective bond.

Avoid pressing on damaged glass or attempting to disguise the crack before inspection. If visibility is compromised or the vehicle is unsafe to use, contact us about collection. A photo can help the workshop prepare, but it cannot certify that a damaged screen is safe to keep driving with.

Match the features on your car

Your windscreen specification

We confirm the vehicle details and fitted equipment before ordering glass. Model year, body style and options can change the correct screen even within one Porsche model family. A screen that appears similar may have the wrong bracket, optical features or sensor provision.

Camera provision

Where a driver-assistance camera is fitted behind the glass, the correct mounting arrangement and optical area matter. Its presence also affects the required post-fitting procedure.

Rain and light sensors

The screen and sensor mounting or coupling arrangement must suit the vehicle. These sensors are separate from a forward-facing assistance camera and do not all use the same setup.

Head-up display

If the car projects information onto the windscreen, glass designed for that application matters to the displayed image. An ordinary screen should not be assumed equivalent.

Acoustic and solar features

Acoustic construction, tint band and applicable solar or heating features are specified where fitted. We identify what the proposed glass includes rather than promise every option by default.

Body and trim fit

The correct shape, attachment points and surrounding trim arrangement are matched to the car. Existing trim damage or missing clips is recorded separately.

Glass identity

The quotation states the glass source and type. Genuine Porsche-branded, OEM-supplier and aftermarket options are clearly distinguished so you can compare them accurately.

Compare glass options clearly

Genuine glass means a Porsche-branded replacement supplied as that product. An OEM-supplier screen comes from a manufacturer associated with original-equipment glass, but the actual product and specification still need checking. Aftermarket glass is another category and should be identified by its supplier and suitability.

An “OEM quality” phrase alone is not enough to compare quotations. Ask which screen is being supplied, whether its fitted features match and what the installed price includes. A cheaper option that omits the correct camera bracket, display compatibility or other required feature is not an equivalent replacement.

We discuss available compatible choices rather than assume the highest price is the only workable choice for every car. Availability, desired parts source, optical quality, fitting requirements and the applicable cover all matter. Some less common specifications may need ordering and a longer appointment lead time.

If you want to retain a particular glass brand or genuine Porsche marking, mention it before the order is placed. The written quotation should settle that decision. Changing the parts request after delivery can affect availability, timing and cost. We confirm these details before beginning the agreed replacement.

Fitting and camera calibration

Replacement includes controlled removal of the damaged screen and inspection of the bonding area. The aperture must be suitable for the specified bonding process. Corrosion, damaged paint or poor previous adhesive work may require attention before fitting continues; we explain those findings and their cost.

The glass, adhesive system and preparation must work together. We follow the relevant product and vehicle requirements for installation, with appropriate handling of the surrounding trim and fitted sensors. A new screen should not be treated as a cure for unrelated water-entry, body damage or a faulty camera.

Where the vehicle requires camera calibration after windscreen replacement, the appropriate static, dynamic or combined procedure depends on the fitted system. We identify that requirement and include or separately itemize the work. A road drive by itself is not a universal substitute for a specified calibration process.

Rain or light sensor checks are distinct from driver-assistance camera calibration. The relevant functions are checked after fitting, and any pre-existing faults are discussed. If a warning remains or another condition prevents the required procedure from completing, the next step must be clear before the car is handed back.

Damage around the roof frame or pillars following an impact may need body repair assessment alongside glass work. We keep the glass replacement quote clear about which work restores the glazing and which concerns require a separate body repair.

Fitting time is only part of the visit

Ready for collection

Safe collection depends on the actual adhesive, installation conditions and required checks. The minimum drive-away time is different from complete adhesive cure. We confirm when the car can be released and what aftercare applies to the product used.

A quick fitting estimate should never become an automatic promise that the car can be driven immediately. Parts arrival, additional aperture work or calibration requirements can extend the visit.

  1. Before installation

    Confirm the screen and aperture

Match the supplied glass and inspect the bonding surface, trim and relevant equipment. Any additional repair is explained before it changes the agreed work.

  2. After positioning

    Allow the specified adhesive time

The adhesive manufacturer’s minimum drive-away requirements and actual fitting conditions determine the release time. Temperature and humidity can matter; one universal waiting period is unsuitable for every product.

  3. Before handover

    Complete relevant checks

Review the installation, applicable sensor functions and any required camera calibration. Confirm the outcome and explain anything that needs follow-up before collection.

  4. When you collect

    Receive clear aftercare

You receive the permitted driving time and instructions concerning washing, retained fitting tape or other product-specific precautions. Contact the workshop if you notice water entry, unusual wind noise or a new warning.

A clear finish and a clear handover

The visible glass, surrounding trim and cabin should be checked at completion. We review the agreed work and relevant checks with you, including any camera or sensor work listed on the quotation. The invoice should identify the supplied glass and additional parts so the service history remains useful.

Report a new whistle, water entry, distorted view or assistance-system warning promptly. Those symptoms need inspection rather than a promise that every issue will settle on its own. Record when they occur, such as at road speed or after rain, to help the workshop reproduce the concern.

Replacement does not renew wiper blades, repair stone damage elsewhere or remove unrelated dashboard warnings unless those items are included. Worn or damaged blades can affect the new screen’s clearing performance, so their condition is worth checking and replacement can be priced separately if needed.

Our 12-month repair warranty is linked for the applicable workshop terms. The glass source and any separate product terms are confirmed with the quote. Free pickup and delivery can be arranged with the workshop when the vehicle and location have been discussed.

Arrange your replacement

Call or WhatsApp with the Porsche model and what happened to the glass. If available, send a photo of the damage and mention any camera, head-up display or other known windscreen features. We can then discuss the likely range and the inspection needed to confirm a final quote.

The model year and vehicle details help identify the correct part once the enquiry moves to ordering. If the car has had a previous screen replacement, mention any leaks, changed markings or sensor issues since that work. This can reveal why a simple like-for-like visual match is insufficient.

We agree the glass choice, additional work and expected collection plan before fitting. If you are arranging an insurance claim, confirm your insurer’s approval and reimbursement requirements directly; do not assume workshop replacement automatically includes insurer authorization or cashless processing.

For a badly damaged screen or poor visibility, ask about collection instead of taking an uncertain drive. We will explain the appointment and transport arrangements, then keep you informed if inspection reveals a material change to the agreed job.

Windscreen replacement questions

How much does a Porsche windscreen cost to replace?

Suitable aftermarket glass with standard fitting is estimated at AED 1,500–3,000. An OEM-supplier or genuine option is estimated at AED 2,500–5,000, with exact source and features specified. Camera calibration and additional trim or aperture work must be confirmed in the quote.

Will a replacement affect my camera or head-up display?

It can if the wrong glass is fitted or required setup is omitted. We match the screen to the fitted equipment and identify any required camera calibration. A head-up display needs suitable glass for that application.

Can you repair a chip instead?

Some localized chips are repairable after assessment of their position, depth, extent and surrounding condition. Long or spreading cracks and unsuitable damage can require replacement. A repair is not a promise that the mark will become invisible.

Can I drive immediately after fitting?

Only after the adhesive’s specified minimum drive-away requirements and the relevant checks have been satisfied. We confirm the release time for the actual product and conditions. Full adhesive cure is a different time from minimum drive-away.

Does every Porsche need calibration after new glass?

Requirements depend on the fitted camera and vehicle procedure. We identify the equipment and quote the required work. Rain-sensor checks and driver-assistance camera calibration are different tasks.

Can you replace a leaking screen?

Yes, where replacement or refitting is the appropriate repair after locating the leak. Water can enter through other areas, and a defective bond or damaged aperture may need attention. We establish the cause before choosing the work.

Do you offer pickup and delivery?

Yes, free pickup and delivery can be arranged through the workshop. Tell us where the car is and whether visibility or damage makes it unsuitable to drive so collection can be planned appropriately.
