Three Carrera S estimates
These VAT-inclusive planning ranges show three common workshop visits. They are sample quotations, not customer job records or fixed offers. The model year, parts and work confirmed determine the final total.
Oil and filter service
For a Carrera S due for routine engine-oil maintenance without an additional repair.
Includes: Correct-specification oil, oil filter, sealing part, visible checks, battery check and service reset.
Separate: Air filters, spark plugs, leak repairs and wear parts.
Allow: Part of a working day when parts are ready.
Major scheduled service
For the larger maintenance visit when the service history shows the relevant items are due.
Includes: Engine service plus the filters, spark plugs and brake-fluid work stated in the quotation.
Separate: PDK or manual-transmission work, brakes, tyres and fault repairs unless listed.
Allow: About one working day after parts confirmation.
Steel-brake pads
For front or rear pad replacement when the existing steel discs remain suitable for service.
Includes: Matched pads, installation and agreed brake checks. A required wear sensor is identified before approval.
Separate: Discs, caliper work, brake-fluid renewal and PCCB components.
Allow: Usually the same day with parts available.
Service price guide
A Carrera S visit should be priced around the actual maintenance record and fitted equipment. These guide ranges include 5% VAT for the stated work.
The interval package adds listed filters to the oil service. A major service adds the scheduled items confirmed for the vehicle. A repair discovered during servicing remains a separate decision and will not be added without approval.
For a complete breakdown of routine packages, see the Carrera maintenance cost guide.

Tell us what is due or what the car is doing. We can arrange a free initial health check and confirm whether the work can be completed the same day.
Care across the car
The Carrera S combines a rear-mounted flat-six engine with performance brakes, carefully controlled suspension and generation-specific electronics. A good service plan keeps these systems connected instead of treating every warning or symptom in isolation.
- Scheduled maintenance
- Engine oil and filter, intake and cabin filters, spark plugs, brake fluid and recorded checks based on the exact model and due work.
- Engine and cooling
- Oil or coolant leaks, temperature concerns, rough running, boost-related faults on turbocharged generations, ignition and fuel-delivery repairs.
- Gearbox and driveline
- Manual-clutch concerns, Tiptronic or PDK service and repair, mounts, shafts and rear-wheel-drive components matched to the generation.
- Brakes and chassis
- Steel or PCCB brake systems, PASM-equipped suspension, steering, wheel bearings, tyres and alignment after worn parts are corrected.
- Electrical and comfort
- Battery and charging problems, warning lights, PCM concerns, sensors, air conditioning, convertible-top systems and cabin electronics.

Generation changes the job
Carrera S is a model designation, not one universal parts list. The VIN, build year, engine, gearbox and options determine the correct fluids, service items and repair procedure.
996 and 997 Carrera S
Older cars need maintenance planned around condition as well as mileage. Cooling hoses, seals, ignition components, engine mounts, suspension bushes and stored service history can matter as much as the next oil change. The 997 may be manual, Tiptronic or PDK depending on year, so gearbox work must be identified correctly.
991 Carrera S
The naturally aspirated 991.1 and turbocharged 991.2 differ in engine hardware, air management and service access. Manual and PDK cars also need different parts and procedures. We identify the exact derivative before pricing plugs, filters, cooling or drivetrain work.
992 Carrera S
The 992 adds newer control systems and a turbocharged powertrain. Warning messages can involve several modules, so the quotation should reflect the confirmed system and required calibration or coding. Brake and suspension options still affect parts selection.
Coupe and Cabriolet
Routine engine servicing is broadly related, but body equipment is not. Cabriolet roof hydraulics, seals, drains and control components require their own checks. A roof concern should be described separately when booking so the workshop can allow the right time.
Symptoms worth booking
A warning light, new vibration or fluid mark does not name the failed part by itself. It gives the workshop a starting point. Tell us when it happens, whether the car is hot or cold, and whether recent work or a flat battery came before it.
- Rough idle or misfire: may involve plugs, coils, injectors, intake leaks or control inputs. Continued driving can worsen catalyst damage when a severe misfire is present.
- Temperature warning or coolant loss: stop safely if the car is overheating. Pumps, hoses, radiators, reservoirs and leaks need to be distinguished before parts are approved.
- PDK warning or poor shifts: can involve fluid condition, adaptation, electrical control or internal wear. A service does not repair every transmission fault.
- Brake noise or steering vibration: may come from pads, discs, tyres, wheel balance, bearings or suspension wear. The axle and fitted brake type set the parts.
- Low battery or electrical messages: voltage loss can create several warnings. Test the battery and charging system before replacing unrelated modules.

Plan the next service
Use the maintenance schedule for the exact model year together with the invoice history. Time-based items can still become due when a Carrera S covers little mileage, while frequent short trips, heat and demanding use can justify earlier condition checks.
An oil service is not automatically a major service. Likewise, a major service does not automatically include PDK fluid, differential work, brake pads or every filter unless they are stated. We list each item so the owner can see what is being completed now.
For a car with missing records, begin with its current condition and the maintenance items that can be verified. It is better to create a sensible baseline than to assume everything was completed or replace every item without justification.
- Share the latest invoice or service-book entry if available.
- Confirm the model year, current mileage and gearbox.
- Mention track use, long storage or recent modifications.
- Keep advisories separate from work already due.
Repair options explained
The best choice depends on the failed part, surrounding condition, parts availability and how long you plan to keep the car. We explain the practical options before the quotation is approved.
- Service or adjustment
- Suitable when the component is serviceable and the required work is maintenance, calibration, cleaning or an adjustment specified for the system.
- Targeted component repair
- Used when a repairable subassembly can be addressed reliably without replacing a much larger unit. Availability and warranty terms must be clear.
- Replacement
- Appropriate when wear, damage or manufacturer procedure makes replacement the dependable choice. The quote identifies whether the part is new, remanufactured or suitable used stock.
- Related preventive work
- Considered when access overlaps and a nearby age-related part is known to be due. It should still have a clear reason and separate price.

Parts, fluids and warranty
Parts choice can change the price without changing the basic job. Where suitable options exist, ask for the manufacturer, part status and fitted total. Porsche Genuine parts may be preferred for some repairs; identified original-equipment or high-quality alternatives may suit others.
Oil and fluids must meet the specification required by the exact Carrera S. A generic label such as “fully synthetic” is not enough. Brake components must match steel or ceramic equipment, while sensors, batteries and electronic parts may need registration, coding or calibration after installation.
Our 12-month parts-and-labour repair warranty is subject to the written terms on the warranty page. The invoice should identify the work and supplied parts. Wear, misuse, unrelated failures and owner-supplied parts may be treated differently under those terms.
A clear workshop process
Share the car
Send the model year, mileage, gearbox, service needed and any symptoms. A VIN or current invoice helps when exact parts must be matched.
Review and quote
We inspect the agreed concern, confirm the relevant work and provide an itemised quotation. Additional findings remain separate until you approve them.
Complete and hand over
The team completes the authorised work, performs relevant checks and explains the invoice, remaining advisories and sensible next maintenance date.
Straightforward servicing or brake work is often completed within a working day when parts are available. Component repairs may require one to three working days. Internal engine, gearbox, delayed parts or programming work needs an individual schedule.

Carrera S service questions
How much does a Porsche Carrera S service cost in Dubai?
Plan AED 1,260–1,785 for a minor service, AED 1,890–3,150 for an interval service and AED 4,725–6,825 for a major service. These planning ranges include 5% VAT for the stated work. The exact generation, service history, parts and due items determine the written quotation.
What is included in the free initial health check?
The initial check helps the workshop understand the requested service or visible concern and decide what quotation or further testing is appropriate. It is not a complete pre-purchase inspection, internal engine examination or promise that every intermittent fault will be identified without additional paid testing.
Do you service every Carrera S generation?
We handle modern 996, 997, 991 and 992 Carrera S servicing and repair, subject to parts and the work required. Share the model year and VIN when available. Classic or extensively modified cars may need a separate assessment before timing and parts can be confirmed.
Can you work on manual, Tiptronic and PDK cars?
Yes, but the gearbox fitted changes the service and repair procedure. A manual clutch concern, Tiptronic service and PDK warning are different jobs. We confirm the gearbox, symptoms and relevant fluid circuit or component before pricing the work.
Are Carrera S and Carrera 4S parts the same?
Not always. Carrera S is rear-wheel drive, while Carrera 4S adds an all-wheel-drive system. Generation, brakes, suspension, gearbox, body style and options also change parts. A 4S quotation should not be copied directly to an S without checking the vehicle.
Do you use genuine Porsche parts?
Porsche Genuine parts can be quoted where requested and available. For suitable jobs, we may also offer an identified original-equipment or quality alternative. The quotation should state the option, fitted price and relevant warranty so you can choose before work starts.
How long will Carrera S repairs take?
Allow part of a working day for a straightforward minor service and around one working day for many major services or brake jobs when parts are ready. Component repairs often need one to three working days. Internal engine, gearbox, programming or delayed-parts work needs a separate schedule.
What should I send for a quotation?
Send the model year, mileage, gearbox and the service or symptom. Add the VIN, latest invoice, warning message, leak location or a short description of when the problem occurs if available. You can still start the enquiry without every detail.
