Three typical Carrera 4S job estimates
These are guide ranges from our published 911 service and parts pricing, including 5% VAT. They are typical job estimates, not records of completed customer work or fixed offers.
Routine oil and filter service
For a 4S due for a minor service with no additional repair required.
Includes: Correct-specification engine oil and filter, specified seal, visible checks, battery check and service reset.
Separate: Spark plugs, additional filters, fluid leaks and wear repairs.
Allow: Part of a working day, with parts available.
Major service with due items
For a car whose service record confirms the larger maintenance visit is due.
Includes: Engine service and the filters, spark plugs and brake-fluid work specifically listed in your quotation.
Separate: PDK or differential fluids, brake pads, tyres and fault repairs unless separately listed.
Allow: Around one working day; confirm the final item list first.
Steel-brake pads on one axle
For front or rear pad replacement where the existing steel discs remain serviceable.
Includes: Compatible pads, fitting and the agreed brake checks; any required wear sensor is identified in the quote.
Separate: Replacement discs, caliper repairs, brake-fluid renewal and ceramic-brake parts.
Allow: Usually a same-day job once the correct parts are available.
Repair budgets beyond routine servicing
A coolant leak, driveline vibration or suspension knock needs a price for the actual repair. These planning estimates include parts, labour and a 5% VAT allowance; they are not fixed workshop prices.
| Work | Budget estimate | What the figure covers |
|---|---|---|
| Cooling-system component repair | AED 1,575–5,775 | Selected hose, water-pump or radiator work; the failed component and access determine the price. |
| Engine leak or component repair | AED 3,150–12,600 | Selected seal, ignition or engine-component work. Internal damage and a full rebuild are priced separately. |
| Transmission or driveline repair | AED 4,200–15,750 | Selected fault repairs, subject to the affected assembly. A complete gearbox replacement is outside this range. |
| Suspension and chassis repair | AED 2,100–7,350 | Selected arms, mounts or suspension components. Tyres, alignment and extensive adaptive-damper work may add cost. |
| Electrical fault repair | AED 1,050–4,200 | Selected wiring, starting, charging or electrical-component repairs. A complete module replacement may cost more. |
These broad estimates use the selected-repair ranges in our Carrera repair cost guide, with a VAT allowance added for budgeting. Confirm the complete VAT-inclusive total before approval. Generation, access, original or alternative-brand parts, prior repairs and related damage can move a quotation outside the range.
For major internal engine damage, the published engine-rebuild guide is AED 21,000–42,000+ including VAT, with the final work determined after strip-down. A fluid service will not repair worn transmission internals. Extended tests, dismantling, coding and additional repairs are charged only when included in an agreed quotation.

Service the flat-six correctly
The Carrera 4S uses a flat-six engine, but the service parts and oil requirements are not identical across generations. We match the oil approval, fill quantity, filters and spark plugs to your car instead of applying a single specification to every 4S.
Bring the previous invoices or service book. They help establish whether you need an oil service, the additional filters in an interval service, or time- and mileage-related major-service items. Low mileage alone does not mean brake fluid or other scheduled work can be postponed indefinitely.
Tell us about fresh oil spots, a burning smell, misfires or coolant loss when booking. A leak or ignition repair can be quoted alongside maintenance, with its own parts and labour, so you can see what is scheduled work and what addresses a fault.
Match the hardware before ordering
A pad warning does not establish that every disc needs replacing. The quotation should reflect remaining pad material, disc condition and measurements, sensors and any caliper problem. Steel brakes and optional PCCB ceramic brakes require different parts; the pad estimate above applies to steel-brake systems.
For knocks, uneven tyre wear or a change in ride quality, relevant work can include suspension arms, bushes, mounts, wheel bearings or dampers. PASM and any rear-axle steering must be checked against the car’s equipment before parts are selected. Alignment is discussed when the repair affects wheel geometry.
A soft brake pedal, grinding brakes or a red brake warning is a reason to stop driving and arrange assistance. Send the warning text when you contact us so we can advise on bringing the car in.

Look after the whole driveline
The 4S adds a driven front axle to the 911’s rear-engine layout. Front-drive components, driveshaft joints, boots and the relevant differentials belong in the repair conversation when you report vibration, a leak or a knock under load.
A shudder during a turn or a harsh shift does not, on its own, prove the gearbox needs replacing. Tyre fitment and condition, mounts, drive components and the transmission can all need checking before a repair is selected. Keep the specified front and rear tyre sizes; a staggered set is not suitable for a routine front-to-rear rotation.
PDK, Tiptronic or manual
Transmission type depends on the car. For an applicable PDK fluid service, the published guide is AED 1,890–3,675 including VAT. Your quote must name the fluid circuit, specification, quantity and included filter or seals. Differential fluid is a separate item unless explicitly included; older automatic and manual cars need their own service details.
Engine and gearbox generation matter more than a generic “911 package”. Share the model year and VIN for a 996, 997, 991 or 992, plus whether it is a Coupé or Cabriolet. Classic 4S models also need a separate, vehicle-specific assessment.

Carrera 4S questions
The useful details are your model year, mileage, service history and what you want done. A photo of the warning message can help with a repair enquiry.
Air-conditioning, battery and electrical concerns can also be discussed when arranging the visit. For Cabriolet roof faults, mention whether the problem involves operation, sealing or water entry so the appropriate work can be assessed.
How much does a Carrera 4S service cost in Dubai?
Our published 911 Carrera guide is AED 1,260–1,785 for a minor service, AED 1,890–3,150 for an interval service and AED 4,725–6,825 for a major service, including 5% VAT. Your 4S quotation depends on its generation, engine, service history and the items due. Wear repairs and transmission or differential fluid work are separate unless listed.
Does a major service include PDK oil?
Not automatically. Engine servicing and transmission servicing are different jobs. A PDK quotation must identify the applicable fluid circuit, fluid specification and quantity, and whether a filter or associated seals are included. Manual and Tiptronic cars require a different quotation.
Is the 4S more expensive to maintain than a Carrera S?
Not every routine service costs more. The 4S has an all-wheel-drive system, so a front-drive, differential or related driveline repair can add work that is absent on a rear-wheel-drive Carrera S. Compare quotations for the actual fault and equipment, rather than applying a fixed surcharge to every 4S.
How often should I service my car?
Follow the maintenance schedule for your VIN, model year and market, including time-based items when annual mileage is low. Bring the service record so we can identify what is due. A warning, fresh leak or change in braking or shifting needs attention before the next scheduled service.
Can you quote before seeing the car?
We can provide a provisional price for a defined service from your model year, VIN, mileage and service record. A fault repair may need inspection before its parts and labour can be priced accurately. Initial computer diagnostics or fault inspection is free; dismantling, extended testing and comprehensive reports require a separate agreed quotation.
Do all Carrera 4S models use the same brakes and suspension?
No. Steel brakes and optional Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes need different parts and pricing. Suspension, PASM equipment and any rear-axle steering also depend on the generation and options fitted. Send the VIN or existing parts details so the quotation matches the car.
How long will the work take?
Allow part of a working day for a straightforward minor service and around a working day for a major service, subject to the agreed work and available parts. Component repairs may need one to three working days. Internal engine or gearbox work needs a separate schedule after assessment; these are planning guides, not promised collection times.
Are you an authorised Porsche dealer?
PorscheGarage is an independent workshop operated by AMF Auto Services LLC in Al Quoz 4, Dubai, and is not affiliated with Porsche AG. If the car has an active manufacturer warranty or a recall, check the applicable Porsche arrangements before authorising work.
