What does your 911 need?

Routine maintenance, a warning light and a mechanical fault require different workshop time. Choose the closest concern below or simply describe what the car is doing. We will help arrange the relevant service.

You do not need to identify a failed part before contacting us. The quote is built around your car and the agreed work.

Generation matters

One name, different cars

The 911 badge covers very different engines, transmissions, electronic systems and chassis equipment. We identify the generation and exact fitted components before ordering parts or quoting a repair.

996

Early water-cooled 911

Age, previous work and current condition often shape the job more than mileage alone. Cooling leaks, oil leaks, ignition concerns, suspension wear and interior or instrument faults should be assessed individually. Parts availability and access can affect timing, especially when earlier repairs have changed fittings or fasteners.

997

Mechanical and electronic mix

Manual, Tiptronic and later PDK versions need the correct service path. Brake specification, PASM equipment and engine version also affect the parts list. We distinguish routine maintenance from a fault investigation, then explain whether the concern is local to one component or part of a wider repair.

991

More chassis integration

Later electronic controls make symptoms and fault history useful, but a stored code is only one part of the assessment. PDK behavior, active mounts, cooling, steering, PASM and fitted brake systems can require different checks. The model year and trim help narrow the specification before physical confirmation.

992

Current-generation systems

Newer 911 models combine more connected control systems with model-specific powertrain and chassis equipment. A warning can involve several related inputs, so parts should not be selected from the dashboard message alone. We quote the agreed assessment first and separate restricted manufacturer work when it needs an authorized Porsche center.

Describe what changed

Common 911 repair requests

A noise, leak or warning is enough to start the conversation. The same symptom can have more than one cause, so we arrange the check around when it happens and which systems are affected.

Stop safely if the dashboard instructs you to stop, oil pressure is lost, the engine overheats or braking or steering feels unsafe.

Engine oil and leaks

Book an engine check for low oil warnings, oil spots, smoke, a burning smell, misfires or unusual mechanical noise. Access differs across generations, and fluid can travel along undertrays before it reaches the floor. For scheduled maintenance without a fault, a Porsche 911 oil change uses the oil approval, quantity and filter matched to the engine.

Useful details: when the warning or leak appears, recent top-ups and any recent engine work.

Cooling and temperature

Repeated coolant loss, a temperature warning or visible residue can come from a hose, connector, housing, pump, radiator or another part of the circuit. We identify the affected area and include the necessary fluid handling and checks with the repair. A larger component is quoted separately from a small accessible leak.

Do not open a hot coolant reservoir. Call before driving if the car is overheating or losing fluid quickly.

PDK, manual and clutch

Delayed engagement, harsh changes, slipping, a clutch concern or a transmission warning needs a job matched to the fitted gearbox. Service work, software-related assessment, a control fault and an internal mechanical repair are different scopes. We explain the first useful checks and quote extended dismantling only when needed.

Tell us whether the problem occurs cold, hot, in one gear or after a longer drive.

Brakes, steering and suspension

Brake noise, vibration, pulling, uneven tire wear, knocking or a change in ride height can involve several components. We check the relevant pads, discs, joints, arms, dampers and fitted chassis systems before recommending parts. Steel and ceramic brakes can have very different costs, so the specification is confirmed before ordering.

Wheel alignment follows the condition check when worn parts could affect the result.

Electrical, instruments and AC

Starting trouble, repeated battery discharge, dashboard faults, failed instruments and weak cabin cooling need different checks. We separate a 12-volt supply problem from a failed control, sensor or component. AC work can involve refrigerant loss, airflow, controls or a mechanical component, so a recharge is not assumed to solve every cooling complaint.

A photo of the exact dashboard message can help later, but it is not required to contact us.
Choose the right scope

Repair or replace the part?

The best option depends on the failed component, access, surrounding condition and available parts. We show what can stay, what needs replacement and how each option changes the total.

Keep serviceable components

A targeted repair can make sense when the main assembly is sound and the failed seal, sensor, connector or service item can be replaced properly. The quote identifies the affected part and includes the labor, fluids, calibration or checks needed for that work.

This approach avoids replacing a larger assembly only because one replaceable item has failed. It still needs a condition check, since damaged mounting points, worn related parts or difficult access can change the scope.

  • Suitable when the retained assembly tests and inspects well
  • Clear parts condition and labor on the quotation
  • Related wear shown separately instead of bundled automatically

Replace a worn assembly

Replacement is usually the more practical option when a housing is damaged, an internal unit cannot be repaired reliably, or repeated small repairs would leave the main fault unresolved. We compare genuine, suitable aftermarket or refurbished parts where those choices are available for the job.

The quotation states the part condition, fitting work and relevant checks. Availability can influence both cost and completion time, particularly for older 911 generations or uncommon specifications.

  • New, refurbished or suitable alternative identified clearly
  • Required seals, fluids and fitting included in the agreed scope
  • Applicable warranty terms tied to the selected part and repair
A straightforward workshop visit

From first call to handover

Tell us the 911 model or year and the service or problem. We will arrange the most useful starting point and explain whether the car needs an appointment, longer assessment or assistance because it should not be driven.

  1. 01

    Arrange the visit

Call or WhatsApp with the model and a short description. Mileage, service history, photos or a VIN can be requested later if they help parts matching or diagnosis.

  2. 02

    Inspect and explain

We check the agreed concern and explain what was found. If the fault needs extended testing or dismantling, that additional scope is discussed first.

  3. 03

    Approve the quotation

The written quote identifies the parts, labor, relevant fluids or calibration, VAT and expected timing. Additional work is kept separate until approved.

  4. 04

    Complete and check

After the agreed work, we carry out the checks suitable for that repair and explain the result, charges and any follow-up recommendation at handover.

Porsche 911 service questions

Direct answers about prices, generations, parts and arranging a workshop visit in Dubai.

How much does Porsche 911 service cost?

An engine oil and filter service is estimated at AED 850–1,450, brake fluid replacement at AED 550–850 and an initial diagnostic assessment at AED 350–650. Repairs depend on the fault, generation, fitted parts and access. The written quote confirms the complete scope and VAT before work begins.

Do you service older 996 and 997 models?

Yes, you can contact us about maintenance and repair work for 996 and 997 models as well as later 991 and 992 cars. Parts availability, previous repairs and current condition can affect the most practical option and completion time. Start with the model year and what you need.

Is Carrera the same as Porsche 911?

Carrera is a core model name within the 911 family, alongside versions such as Carrera S, Carrera 4, Targa, Turbo and GT models. The exact version matters for engines, drivetrains, brakes and chassis equipment. We confirm the fitted specification before quoting parts.

Can you check PDK and manual gearbox problems?

We accept inquiries for PDK, Tiptronic, manual gearbox and clutch concerns. Describe the change in shifting, engagement, noise or warning and when it happens. An initial assessment establishes whether the next step is service work, electrical testing, a component repair or a more involved transmission job.

Can you work on ceramic brakes?

Tell us if the car has ceramic brakes or a special brake package when you know it. We confirm the fitted system before ordering parts or applying a steel-brake price. Ceramic discs, pads and related work can have a very different cost and must be quoted for the exact car.

How long will my 911 stay at the workshop?

Some routine services and accessible repairs can be completed within the day when the appointment, parts and workshop capacity allow. Intermittent faults, dismantling, ordered parts or major engine and transmission work can take longer. We explain the expected timing once the first scope is clear.

What parts can I choose?

The available choice depends on the component and model. A quotation can identify genuine, suitable aftermarket or refurbished parts where they are appropriate and available. It also states the part condition, fitting work and applicable warranty terms so you can compare the complete job rather than the part price alone.

What should I send on WhatsApp?

Your 911 model or year and a short description of the service or problem are enough to begin. Mention whether the car can be driven and your preferred visit time. We can request mileage, a warning photo, service history or the VIN later if it helps the quote, diagnosis or parts match.

Is Porsche Garage an authorized Porsche dealer?
