Allow for parts and testing
With parts available, straightforward pads, alignment or 12V work may fit within one working day. Selected cooling and suspension repairs can take one to three working days. These are planning allowances; the booking team confirms timing after checking the car and parts supply.
Major EV work is separate
AC compressor, cabin heater, charging inlet, on-board charger, inverter and drive-unit repairs need a vehicle-specific quote. Their access, programming and testing requirements differ. Accident damage, internal battery work and multiple failed assemblies are outside the common-repair budgets above.

Avoid an incomplete quotation
Compare the complete bill
A cheaper component does not always produce a cheaper finished repair. Compare the following items before approving either quotation.
- The actual part. Ask for the manufacturer, part number and whether it is new, repaired or exchange. An exchange unit may carry a refundable deposit and an old-part return requirement.
- Fitting and setup. Confirm labour, seals, fluids, required programming, calibration and alignment. These should be included in the total or clearly priced as additional work.
- Checks before collection. The quote should identify how the repair will be checked, including relevant charging, temperature, electrical or road checks.
- VAT and changes. Agree the VAT-inclusive total. If dismantling reveals more damage, ask for the revised cost before extra work begins.

Two important cost differences
Brakes and suspension
A pad-only quote covers one axle. It is not a price for discs, calipers and all four wheels. Steel, surface-coated and ceramic brake equipment require different parts, so the fitted specification matters more than the model badge alone.
Regenerative braking does not remove the need to inspect the friction brakes. Pad wear, disc condition, corrosion, sensors and brake fluid still need attention. Replacing sound discs automatically adds cost; ignoring damaged discs can compromise the finished job.
For suspension, ask which component is being replaced and whether alignment or ride-height setup is included. One worn arm and a failed air-suspension assembly are different repairs. Uneven tyre wear may also need tyre replacement after the underlying fault is corrected.
Charging and major battery work
A failed charging session does not automatically mean a failed traction battery. The external charger, vehicle inlet, on-board charger, cooling system and separate low-voltage supply can each be involved. Tell us whether the problem happens on AC charging, DC charging or both.

Taycan, 4S, GTS, Turbo and Turbo S models can differ in brakes, chassis and electrical equipment. Cross Turismo and Sport Turismo body styles also need the correct application. Model year, battery specification and optional equipment affect compatibility.
Share the VIN when parts are being priced. It helps confirm the correct revision, avoids a misleading “fits all Taycans” offer and reduces the chance of ordering a component twice.
Choose parts with clear terms
Porsche Genuine or suitable supplier-branded new parts may be available for the repair. For a repairable component or tested exchange assembly, compare the full fitted total, lead time and written coverage.
Used or refurbished high-voltage parts need particular care over compatibility, condition and specialist testing. We confirm the available option and where specialist work will be carried out before you authorise it.
When cost can wait
Follow any stop-driving instruction. Stop safely for a red electrical warning, unusual heat, serious brake loss or suspected battery damage. Smoke or fire requires emergency assistance. Is a Taycan expensive to repair?
Wear-item repairs are very different from major EV repairs. Guide prices include AED 1,900–4,500 for pads and sensor work on one axle and AED 1,500–7,500 for a defined cooling repair, including 5% VAT. A motor, inverter or traction-battery fault needs its own quotation. A warning alone cannot establish the bill.
Is the initial fault check free?
Yes. The initial fault inspection and initial computer diagnostics are free. Extended testing, dismantling and specialist investigation are separately agreed before they start. The displayed paid-testing budgets cover that additional work, not the initial check.
What does a Taycan 12V battery cost?
The fitted planning budget is AED 7,800–10,800 including VAT for a compatible lithium 12V battery, routine fitting, required setup allowance and final low-voltage checks. Confirm the exact specification by VIN. Additional electrical repairs are separate.
Does every battery warning mean a new pack?
No. The separate low-voltage supply, charging hardware, cooling system or a repairable component may be involved. A complete pack is considered only after the fault and available repair options are established. Check manufacturer warranty and campaign eligibility before authorising major work.
Can you compare another workshop’s quote?
Yes. Send the itemised quote and any fault report with your model year. We compare the named part, its condition, labour, setup, testing and total including VAT. A lower headline price is only useful when both quotations cover the same repair.
What should I budget annually?
There is no dependable annual repair allowance that fits every Taycan. Age, mileage, tyre and brake condition, equipment, accident history and warranty coverage change the likely spending. Keep scheduled maintenance separate from unexpected repairs and request a condition-based list of upcoming work.
Can I drive with an electrical warning?
Follow the vehicle’s instruction. Stop safely for a red stop-driving warning, smoke, unusual heat, serious braking loss or suspected battery damage. Smoke or fire needs emergency assistance. For an unclear warning, call with a photo before driving or arranging collection.
How long will the repair take?
With the correct parts available, pad replacement, alignment or straightforward 12V work may fit within one working day. Allow roughly one to three working days for selected cooling or suspension repairs. Major EV work and ordered parts need a separate completion estimate after assessment.
