Know what is extra
Oil-leak repairs, additional fluids, gearbox servicing, ceramic-brake work and damaged components are outside routine service budgets. The initial fault check is free. Extended testing or dismantling needs a separate approved scope. Genuine Porsche brake pads and specialised roof parts can cost more than the examples above.
Allow time for the right work
As a planning guide, allow 1–2 hours for an oil service, half a day to a day for broader maintenance, and 1–3 working days for straightforward repairs once parts are available. Roof coverings, engine work and special-order parts take longer. Confirm the appointment and collection time before arranging your day.

Keep routine care specific to your Boxster
A service should reflect what your car is due, not simply a package name. Bring the service history so we can identify completed work and avoid charging for items that are not yet required.
The oil approval and quantity depend on the engine. Air filters, cabin filters, spark plugs, brake fluid and drive-belt checks have their own requirements. Manual, Tiptronic and PDK transmissions also need the correct separate maintenance plan.

- Discuss short journeys, traffic, dust and heat when planning maintenance. Cooling performance, AC operation and filter condition deserve attention.
- Weekend or stored cars
- Low mileage does not remove time-based maintenance. Check battery condition, tyre age, fluid history and roof drains before regular use resumes.
- Track or hard use
- Tell the team before booking. Fluids, brakes and tyres may need a different inspection or service scope from ordinary road use.

A roof that opens, closes and seals properly
A stuck roof does not automatically need a complete replacement. The repair may involve a switch, cable, drive unit, latch or seal while retaining the serviceable fabric and frame.
Water entry needs attention even when the roof moves normally. Drain condition, window alignment, seal contact, stitching and the rear-window area can all affect how dry the cabin stays. Damp trim and electrical symptoms should be reported together.
Typical roof-drive repair budgets are AED 1,500–4,500 including VAT. A compatible replacement covering is typically AED 4,500–8,500+ fitted, including VAT, with the frame, drives and additional trim excluded unless quoted. If the roof twists or stops halfway, stop operating it. Call before driving if it cannot latch securely; pickup can be arranged.
Bring back the way your Boxster should feel
Loose steering, a persistent hum or a knock over bumps can spoil an otherwise enjoyable car. We assess the affected area and explain the parts and alignment work needed to restore predictable handling.
Brake pads, discs and wear sensors must match the fitted system. Ceramic brakes need their own assessment and quote. Suspension work can involve control-arm bushes, ball joints, dampers, mounts or links; wheel alignment is quoted where the repair affects wheel geometry.

Heavy steering also needs a model-specific check: hydraulic and electric assistance are not serviced in the same way. Report a sudden loss of assistance or reduced braking before continuing to drive.
Care for every Boxster generation
Base, S, GTS and Spyder badges do not identify every service part. We use the year, engine specification, transmission and fitted equipment to prepare the work.
The Boxster’s mid-engine layout makes access time relevant to the quotation. An accessible hose or seal repair is a different job from work that requires substantial dismantling or engine removal.
Oil smoke, coolant loss or rough running can have several causes. Ignition, fuel supply, crankcase ventilation, external leaks and internal engine condition need to be distinguished before an expensive repair is proposed. For a confirmed major fault, the engine quotation should compare the suitable repair, rebuild or replacement route and its complete fitted cost.

How often should I service my Boxster?
Follow the maintenance schedule for the exact model year, engine and transmission, using both time and mileage. Share the service record and tell us about short trips, storage or track use. We can then identify due work without assuming one interval applies to every Boxster.
Do you work on older 986 and 987 Boxsters?
Yes. We handle maintenance and repair enquiries for 986 and 987 cars as well as 981 and 718 models. Parts availability, earlier repairs and the condition of surrounding components can affect the scope and completion date.
Does every Boxster need an IMS bearing replacement?
No. Engine designs differ, and a general warning about one generation should not be applied to every Boxster. Confirm the engine identification and relevant history before discussing whether an IMS-related inspection or repair applies.
Can you check a Boxster before I buy it?
Yes. Arrange a pre-purchase inspection before committing to the car. Ask for a scope that covers maintenance records, the roof, signs of water entry, brakes, suspension, cooling, engine and transmission condition. Additional internal-engine testing is a separate decision when the findings justify it.
Can I book maintenance and roof work together?
Yes. Tell us about both jobs when booking so time and parts can be planned. Maintenance and roof repairs are itemised separately, and a special-order covering or drive component may extend the collection date.
What should I send for a quotation?
Send your Boxster’s model year, mileage and the service or problem you want addressed. A VIN and service history help with parts and maintenance planning, but you can start with a call. Photos of a warning or leak are useful; do not operate a jammed roof or run an overheating engine to make a video.
