Porsche Boxster Brake Pad Replacement Dubai
Worn pads or a brake-wear warning? Book front or rear brake-pad replacement with compatible parts, disc checks and a clear fitted price. Standard steel-brake estimates start at AED 1,890 per axle including VAT.

Boxster brake-pad replacement prices
These are guide estimates for standard steel brakes, not confirmed fixed-price offers. Each amount includes 5% VAT, a matched pad set for one axle and replacement labour. Front and rear prices are confirmed separately for your car.
Supplier-brand pads
AED 1,890–3,150
- Price basis
- Per axle, including 5% VAT.
- Parts
- A pad set catalogued for the fitted brakes, with the manufacturer and part number stated in your quotation.
Porsche Genuine pads
AED 2,625–4,725
- Price basis
- Per axle, including 5% VAT.
- Parts
- The correct Porsche Genuine pad set for the specified brake system, subject to availability.
What the fitting price covers
- Wheel removal and refitting, pad replacement and preparation of the relevant contact points.
- Disc measurement, wear-pattern review and checks of caliper condition and sensor connections.
- Final pedal and warning checks, a road test where safe, and bedding-in instructions.
What may cost extra
- Wear sensors, replacement hardware, discs, caliper repairs, brake fluid and extended fault tracing.
- PCCB ceramic brakes and modified systems require a dedicated estimate.
- New pads will not correct a hydraulic leak or a binding caliper.
Plan the workshop visit
Allow around 1–2 hours for a straightforward one-axle pad replacement after parts are available. Both axles, damaged hardware or additional repairs take longer. We confirm the appointment and collection time with you.
Send the model year and the axle you need, if known. We will check availability and explain the complete price before you commit.

The right pads for your driving
For a road-driven Boxster, reliable cold response, suitable friction material and compatibility matter more than a “racing” label.
- Porsche Genuine
- A straightforward choice when you want the Porsche-labelled replacement for the fitted system. Confirm the exact application and availability.
- Established supplier brand
- A suitable alternative when the pad is specified for your brake package. Ask for the brand and part number rather than relying on vague “OEM quality” wording.
- Performance compound
- Discuss track use before ordering. Temperature requirements, noise, dust and cold behaviour can differ from an everyday road pad.
A low-dust description does not prove that a pad suits your discs. We check the application and explain the trade-offs before you choose. Existing brake upgrades should be mentioned when requesting a quote.
Do your discs need replacing?
Pads can be replaced on their own when the discs remain within specification and their surfaces are suitable. Disc replacement is a separate recommendation based on condition and measurements.
Thin, cracked or seriously scored discs may not be suitable for new pads. We compare the measured thickness with the applicable minimum and review both sides of the axle. A visible edge lip is a reason to measure, not a substitute for a measurement.
Uneven pad wear, pulling or a wheel that runs unusually hot can point to a caliper problem. Fitting a new set without correcting the cause can quickly damage it. Vibration can also involve disc deposits, thickness variation, hub condition or other running-gear faults.
If disc renewal is needed, our Boxster brake disc replacement service explains the additional work. You receive the revised total before extra parts are fitted.

Include the wear sensor
The sensor is a separate component from the pad. If it has worn through or been damaged, it normally needs replacement with the pads.
We check the fitted arrangement, connector and lead before ordering. The quote identifies any required sensors so a low pad-only price does not become an unexpected bill at collection.
A brake-wear message is different from an ABS or hydraulic warning. Tell us the exact dashboard wording. A warning that remains after fitting needs a check of the sensor circuit and relevant system; simply clearing a message does not repair the fault.
Match the brakes fitted today
The model badge alone is not enough to order pads. The year, axle, caliper and disc specification all matter, especially on a car with previous upgrades.
We handle front and rear pad enquiries for Boxster, S, GTS and Spyder variants. A VIN helps identify the factory equipment; inspection confirms what is actually installed.
Wheel size and caliper colour can offer clues, but neither confirms the correct pad. Repainted calipers or a previous steel-brake conversion can make photographs misleading.
- 986 and 987
- Confirm the base or S application, current disc size and any earlier modifications. Ageing hardware, caliper seals and hoses may need attention alongside pad wear.
- 981 and 718
- Match the exact variant and brake option. GTS and Spyder equipment should be checked individually rather than grouped under a standard Boxster pad listing.
- PCCB ceramic brakes
- Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes require compatible friction parts and the correct disc assessment. The steel-brake prices above do not apply.
- Front and rear axles
- Inspect both, then replace the axle sets that are due. Rear pads do not automatically need replacement because the front pads are worn.
Fitting and handover
The job should finish with the correct parts installed and clear instructions for using them. Bring details of recent brake work, noises or warning messages when you book.
Confirm the quotation
Agree the axle, pad brand, sensors and any additional work. We explain the total before fitting.
Fit the matched set
Replace pads across the axle, prepare the required contact points and fit approved sensors and hardware.
Check the result
Check the pedal, wheel rotation, connections and warnings. Assess braking behaviour with a road test where safe.
Explain aftercare
Receive the applicable bedding guidance, completed-work details and any items to monitor after collection.
Let new pads bed in
Follow the instructions for the supplied pads and existing or new discs. Avoid unnecessary repeated hard stops during the initial period and do not improvise a high-speed bedding routine on public roads. Emergency braking always takes priority.
Report anything abnormal
Heavy vibration, pulling, a soft pedal, persistent grinding or one overheating wheel needs attention. Do not dismiss these as normal bedding. Stop safely and call if braking is reduced or fluid is leaking.
A clear quote before fitting
Our Dubai workshop has four years in operation, with technicians including Adnan, Faisal and Arul. We explain what needs replacement and which serviceable parts can stay.
Arrange free pickup and delivery by sharing your location and preferred date. Tell us first if the brakes make the car unsafe to drive. A free vehicle health check and complimentary wash and interior vacuum are available with servicing.
See our 12-month repair warranty and confirm the written coverage for your chosen parts. Visit Monday–Saturday, 9:00 AM–7:00 PM; Sunday closed.

Boxster brake-pad questions
How much are Boxster brake pads fitted in Dubai?
For standard steel brakes, guide estimates are AED 1,890–3,150 per axle with suitable supplier-brand pads, or AED 2,625–4,725 with Porsche Genuine pads. These include the pad set, replacement labour and 5% VAT. Sensors, discs, additional hardware and other repairs are separate unless included in the written quotation.
Can I replace pads on just one wheel?
Pads are normally replaced as a matched set across an axle so the left and right sides use the same friction material. Replacing the front axle does not automatically mean the rear axle is due; both are checked and quoted according to condition.
How long will the new pads last?
There is no reliable fixed mileage for every Boxster. Traffic, driving style, pad compound, disc condition, stability-control intervention and track use affect wear. Ask for the remaining pad thickness at service visits instead of relying only on the odometer or waiting for grinding.
Are ceramic brake pads the same as PCCB?
No. A pad advertised as having a ceramic-based compound is not the same thing as the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake system. Pads must be specifically compatible with the fitted disc material and brake package. Do not order a pad for PCCB using the word ceramic alone.
Will replacement pads stop all squealing?
Only when worn or unsuitable pads are the cause. Disc condition, contamination, hardware, trapped debris or another fault can also produce noise. Explain when the sound occurs so the repair addresses the cause; no pad choice guarantees silence in every condition.
Can I drive with a brake-pad warning?
Arrange a check promptly and follow the warning instructions in your vehicle handbook. A pad-wear message does not confirm the remaining safe driving distance. Stop and request assistance for reduced braking, an abnormal pedal, fluid leakage, severe grinding or an overheating wheel.
Does pad replacement include brake fluid?
Not automatically. Brake fluid has its own maintenance requirements, and a fluid change is separate from a routine pad replacement unless quoted together. A low level or a soft pedal needs investigation rather than being treated as a simple top-up.
What do you need to prepare my estimate?
Start with your Boxster model year and whether you need front, rear or both axles, if known. A VIN, dashboard-message photo and details of any brake upgrades help confirm parts. You do not need to remove a wheel or measure the pads yourself to make an enquiry.
