The low-voltage battery powers starting, locks, lighting and the control units that wake the car. It is fitted to petrol Panamera models and is also present on an E-Hybrid. The high-voltage traction battery in an E-Hybrid stores energy for electric driving. The two systems are not interchangeable and their repair costs are not comparable.
If the problem is slow cranking, a flat car after parking or widespread low-voltage warnings, start with the 12-volt system. If the dashboard reports a hybrid-system fault, charging will not start or electric range has changed sharply, use the dedicated Panamera hybrid battery service.
