A warning, noise, or worn pads
A brake-pad change should resolve confirmed pad wear. It should also catch a disc, sensor, or caliper problem that could leave the same complaint after new pads are fitted.
Pad-wear message
Arrange an inspection promptly. We check pad thickness on both sides of the axle and inspect the sensor circuit. The warning does not tell you an exact safe distance remaining.
Squeal or grinding
Squeal can have more than one cause. Persistent grinding needs urgent attention because worn friction material can allow damaging contact with the disc. Tell us when the sound occurs.
Judder or pulling
New pads are not an automatic cure. Disc condition, uneven wear, and caliper operation need checking before you pay for replacement parts.
Front and rear Cayenne brake-pad replacement
We identify the worn axle and the fitted brake option before ordering. You receive a pad-set price for both wheels on that axle, with required extras listed separately.
A matched set for both front wheels
The inspection compares inner and outer pad wear, disc surfaces, and caliper movement. A Turbo badge, wheel size, or model year alone does not identify the correct pad set.
Serviceable rear pads can remain. Front-pad replacement does not automatically require replacing all four corners.
The correct rear-brake procedure
Rear service-brake pads and parking-brake components are not always the same parts. We follow the procedure for the installed system and include any applicable service-mode steps in the fitting plan.
A parking-brake fault receives its own assessment. We explain if it requires work beyond the quoted pad change.

Replacing both axles?
As a combined planning budget, two compatible supplier-branded sets are AED 3,780–6,300 fitted, or AED 5,250–9,450 for two Genuine sets. These are sums of the one-axle estimates, not a fixed package. Required sensors and hardware remain separate.
Compare the final total
Ask for the pad brand, front/rear axle, sensors, hardware, fitting, and VAT on one written estimate. If another quote includes discs or extra repairs, compare the same work before choosing by price alone.

Genuine or supplier-branded brake pads?
The right choice starts with an exact fit for your Cayenne. Tell us if your priority is Porsche Genuine parts, a lower fitted price, or a particular concern about dust and noise.
Porsche Genuine
Choose this option when you want Porsche-branded replacement parts specified for the installed brake system. The estimate identifies the axle and required pad set. Eligible repairs carry our 12-month repair warranty.
A compatible named alternative
A suitable supplier-branded set can offer a lower fitted cost on supported standard brakes. Ask for the manufacturer and part reference. “OEM” on its own does not identify a product or establish that it is identical to the Porsche-branded part.
For daily driving: Discuss noise, dust, cold braking response, and your use together. A low-dust claim alone is not enough to choose a pad. Tell us about towing, mountain driving, modifications, or track use so the recommendation matches the car and intended conditions.
Steel, PSCB, or PCCB?
Cayennes can have different brake equipment within the same model range. We check the vehicle specification and installed components, especially if a previous owner changed the brakes.
Steel
Conventional iron discs need pads matched to the caliper, disc size, and intended road use. Genuine and suitable supplier-branded options may be available.
PSCB
Porsche Surface Coated Brakes use a tungsten-carbide coating and specially developed pads. A standard pad with a similar shape is not an equivalent replacement.
PCCB
Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes need compatible friction parts and the correct disc assessment. A product labeled “ceramic brake pad” is not automatically PCCB-compatible.
955/957, 958, or 9Y0/9YA: The generation helps narrow the search; it does not replace a brake-option check. S, GTS, Turbo, Coupe, and E-Hybrid variants are quoted against their actual equipment. Caliper color is only a clue, particularly on modified vehicles.
Do your Cayenne brake discs need replacing too?
We explain the condition that justifies each part. Worn pads cannot be rebuilt into a reliable new set, but a pad change does not automatically mean new discs.
Pads only
Appropriate when the discs meet the applicable wear limits, their surfaces remain serviceable, and the calipers operate correctly.
Pads and discs
Needed when measurements or damage make the existing discs unsuitable. We quote the complete affected axle before proceeding.
Another fault
Binding, leaks, damaged wiring, or a hydraulic problem require the corresponding repair. For disc, caliper, or wider braking concerns, see our Cayenne brake service. Request a fresh itemized quote for that additional work; a complete brake-repair budget is different from a pad-only price.
Disc machining is not a default add-on. Any proposal must follow the requirements for the fitted disc type. Surface-coated and ceramic-composite discs must not be treated like ordinary iron rotors.

How much is front or rear pad replacement?
For compatible conventional steel-disc brakes, supplier-branded pads are estimated at AED 1,890–3,150 per axle and Porsche Genuine pads at AED 2,625–4,725 per axle, including fitting and 5% VAT. Each range can cover a suitable front or rear set; the exact price depends on fitment. Sensors and required hardware are separate. PSCB and PCCB need their own quotation.
Can you replace only the worn axle?
Yes, when the other axle remains serviceable. Pads are fitted as a matched set for both wheels on the affected axle. We inspect both axles and explain any recommendation to replace the front and rear together.
How long should Cayenne brake pads last?
There is no reliable replacement mileage for every Cayenne. Traffic, braking habits, towing, terrain, brake equipment, and condition all matter. Use the applicable maintenance guidance and measured wear rather than waiting for a fixed kilometer target.
Does an E-Hybrid need brake-pad checks?
Yes. Regenerative braking does not remove the friction brakes or their inspection needs. Pad and disc condition still matters, even if the car has covered fewer kilometers or uses regeneration frequently.
Are low-dust pads suitable for my Cayenne?
Possibly, if the exact part is suitable for the fitted brake system and your use. Discuss cold response, noise, dust, and compatibility together. A generic ceramic pad is not a substitute for a PCCB-specific pad.
Is a warning reset included?
We check the relevant warning after the agreed replacement. A worn sensor or damaged circuit may need repair or replacement; clearing a message alone is not a repair. Required parts are identified in the quote.
Can I wait while the pads are changed?
Ask us to confirm a waiting appointment and estimated handover time before you arrive. Same-day work may be possible with the correct parts and workshop capacity, but it is not a guaranteed waiting service. Both-axle work, disc replacement, or additional faults can take longer. Free pickup and delivery is available by arrangement.
What if the new pads still make noise?
Contact us with the circumstances, such as cold starts or light braking. Noise can involve friction characteristics, disc surfaces, bedding-in, or another fault. Grinding, reduced braking, or a soft pedal requires prompt attention rather than continued driving to bed the pads in.
Can I bring my own brake pads?
Contact us before buying or bringing parts. Send the brand and part reference so compatibility and fitting arrangements can be discussed. Customer-supplied parts are not automatically covered by the workshop; any fitting terms are agreed in writing before installation.
Are sensors included in the advertised price?
No. The published ranges cover the pad set, fitting, and VAT. Required wear sensors and hardware are identified and priced separately. Ask for the final combined total before approval rather than assuming every pad box includes them.
