Oil, filter and seals
Drain the used oil using the applicable procedure, replace the correct filter and seals, then refill with an engine-approved product.
Level and leak checks
Set the final level under the correct measurement conditions and inspect the serviced connections before handover.
Reset and written record
Complete the relevant oil-service reset and record the date, mileage, oil and parts used.
Initial health check
Review accessible condition and report concerns. Extended testing or dismantling is quoted separately.
The approval comes first
A viscosity label such as 0W-40 describes only one part of an oil specification. It does not, by itself, establish that the product is approved for your Cayman.

Product approval and engine fitment must agree. A familiar brand or viscosity alone is not enough.

No universal Cayman fill
The 987 and 981 six-cylinder cars, 718 turbocharged four-cylinder models and later performance versions do not all use the same service kit or oil quantity.
We confirm the installed engine, including a known replacement or modification. You do not need to find the part number.
When is your oil service due?
There is no honest one-number interval for every Cayman. The model year, market schedule, elapsed time and use all shape the next visit.
Reminder or mileage limit reached
Book against the maintenance plan for your model year and market. Check the previous invoice so the correct work is repeated at the right time.
Low annual mileage
Use the calendar limit as well as the mileage limit. A Cayman driven only on weekends still needs time-based maintenance.
Short journeys or demanding use
Discuss the actual use and applicable schedule with the workshop. Avoid choosing a blanket interval solely because the car is in Dubai.
Track use or modifications
Arrange an engine-specific maintenance discussion before the next event. Road-use service assumptions may not cover the additional demands.
Uncertain history or recent purchase
Bring available records. An oil-and-filter visit can establish a clear service date while other due items are listed separately.
Why we confirm the car first: Porsche publishes different maintenance documents by generation and market. We check the applicable schedule rather than advertising one 5,000 km or 10,000 km rule for every Cayman.
Access, seals and final checks
The Cayman’s engine position makes the correct access and level-setting procedure an important part of the job.
Correct access
Underbody protection and the filter or drain arrangement are handled for the fitted engine. Normal access is included in the agreed price.
Sound sealing surfaces
A damaged drain connection, filter cap or housing is shown and quoted before extra work is added.
Accurate final level
The electronic reading is taken under the conditions specified for the vehicle, including the required temperature and measurement sequence.

The engine oil change remains a clear, comparable line item. Related maintenance is added only when due and approved.

Other scheduled items
Air and cabin filters, spark plugs and brake-fluid replacement are priced separately unless the selected package includes them.
PDK or manual gearbox oil
Transmission servicing uses different fluids and procedures. It is not included in an engine oil change and is quoted for the fitted gearbox.
Flushes and additives
These are not automatic extras. Any treatment needs a specific reason and must be compatible with the vehicle requirements.

An oil change has limits
A service reminder, low oil-level message and oil-pressure warning are different concerns. Tell us the exact wording so the booking matches the car’s condition.
Book the scheduled visit and share the current mileage and previous service date.
Follow the vehicle’s checking and top-up instructions. Repeated top-ups need a separate assessment.
Visible leaks, persistent smoke or mechanical noise are not routine oil-service items. Tell us before collection so the next step can be planned.

How much is a Cayman oil change in Dubai?
Estimated totals including 5% VAT are AED 945–1,365 for a 718 2.0/2.5, AED 1,050–1,575 for an earlier 987/981, and AED 1,575–2,205 for the 718 4.0/GT group. These include the agreed oil-and-filter service, labour and checks. The exact engine, oil, filter and any extra work determine the written quotation.
Is the oil filter included in the price?
Yes. The agreed oil-and-filter service includes the correct filter and required service sealing items. A damaged filter housing, cap or drain connection is assessed and quoted separately.
Which engine oil does my Cayman need?
The exact product must meet the Porsche approval for your engine, model year and market. Viscosity and brand alone are not enough. We confirm the oil specification and quantity when preparing your quote.
How often should I change the oil?
Follow the time and mileage limits in the maintenance plan for your specific Cayman. We review the last service and how the car is used, including low mileage, short journeys or track use. There is no single interval suitable for every generation and market.
Can you finish the service the same day?
A straightforward oil-and-filter service may be completed the same working day when the correct parts and workshop capacity are available. We confirm the appointment and expected handover time. Additional repairs or ordered parts may take longer.
Will you reset the service reminder?
We complete the relevant oil-service reset after the agreed work. If other scheduled items remain due, they are explained separately. Resetting a reminder does not mean all maintenance has been completed.
Can I bring my own oil and filter?
Ask before buying them. We need to confirm the exact oil approval, quantity and filter fitment, then agree the fitting price and terms for customer-supplied parts.
Do you offer collection in Dubai?
Yes. Free pickup and delivery can be arranged subject to availability, along with the service booking. Mention any warning or running concern before collection so the team can discuss suitable transport.
