Cayenne lower control arm prices

Allow AED 2,150–4,950 for one lower arm supplied and fitted with four-wheel alignment. A separately replaceable bushing can cost less when the rest of the arm remains serviceable.

Indicative estimates in AED, including 5% VAT. These are planning ranges, not confirmed fixed workshop prices.

Price guidance reflects the variation in parts and labour across Cayenne models. Your written quotation confirms the exact arm position, manufacturer, included bushes or joints, labour and VAT-inclusive total.

What can cost extra?

Seized or damaged mounting bolts, accident damage, other suspension links, steering repairs, tyres and ride-height or sensor work. Separate fault-finding charges, if needed, are agreed before testing. Alignment is a separate line above, not hidden in the arm price.

How much time should I allow?

A straightforward single-arm replacement and alignment can usually fit within a working day when the part is available. Both sides, seized hardware or additional damage may take longer. We confirm the expected handover time when quoting.

Send the year and what you hear or feel. A parts-only online price does not include fitting, new hardware or alignment; compare the complete repair total before deciding.

A bushing or a complete arm?

A lower control arm locates the wheel while its bushes and joints allow controlled movement. The best repair depends on which part has worn and what can be replaced separately on your Cayenne.

Bushing replacement
Worth considering when the arm is straight, its mounting bores are sound and the joint remains serviceable. The correct bush must be available and installed in the specified position.
Complete arm replacement
Often better value when several fitted components are worn, a joint is not separately serviceable or the metal arm is damaged. The quote states what comes with the assembly.
Genuine or supplier-branded
Compare Porsche Genuine with a suitable identified supplier or quality aftermarket brand. We confirm fitment and availability rather than relying on a vague “OEM” description.

Cracked-looking rubber alone does not settle the decision. Separation, excessive movement, a damaged joint boot or leakage from a hydraulic bush, where fitted, calls for a closer check.

One side or a pair

Do both lower arms need replacing?

Not automatically. We check both sides and explain why each recommended part needs attention. A pair is a condition-based decision, not a compulsory package.

One confirmed worn arm

Replace the affected side

A single-arm repair is reasonable when the opposite arm and nearby joints remain sound. You still need the appropriate geometry check after fitting.

This keeps the bill focused while restoring the wheel location affected by that worn arm.

Wear on both sides

Quote both together

Replacing a pair can make sense when both sides have similar wear. It may avoid a second visit and a second alignment after the other side is repaired.

The quote should identify the two arm positions and the parts being supplied, rather than simply saying “front suspension kit”.

Tell us when it happens

Clunks, pulling or tyre wear?

These concerns deserve a suspension check, but they do not all point to the same part. Describing the driving conditions helps us identify the right repair.

01

A knock over bumps

A bush or joint may be worn. Stabiliser links, top mounts and brake hardware can make similar noises.

Mention speed humps or turning.
02

Movement under braking

Excess bush movement can let the wheel shift under load. Tyres, brakes and steering joints also need checking.

Mention any pulling or vibration.
03

Alignment keeps changing

Loose joints, impact damage or incorrect ride height can prevent stable geometry. Repeated adjustment will not repair mechanical play.

Bring your previous alignment report.

Sudden steering change, a visibly displaced wheel or tyre contact with the body? Stop safely and call before driving further. A separated joint or badly damaged arm can compromise wheel control. Arrange recovery when the Cayenne cannot be driven safely.

Fitment matched to your Cayenne

“Lower control arm” is not a complete part identification. We confirm the front or rear axle, side, arm position and vehicle specification before ordering.

Cayenne, S, GTS, Turbo, E-Hybrid and Coupé variants can require different catalogue checks. The VIN and build details help resolve a fitment question, particularly where parts have been superseded or the suspension has been modified.

  • Identify the exact arm and left or right position.
  • Confirm the included bushes, joints and mounting hardware.
  • Check the fitted suspension and relevant options.

Air suspension still uses control arms. A corner that sinks or a ride-height warning may require separate Porsche suspension repair; changing a lower arm does not repair an air leak.

For maintenance or other model-specific repairs during the same visit, see our Cayenne service and repair options.

Repair first, then set alignment

A new arm and a correct alignment work together. Alignment cannot compensate for a loose joint, and new parts cannot undo wear already present in the tyres.

  1. 01

    Confirm the movement

Check the arm, bushes, joints and mounting points. Inspect related tyre wear and any damage from a kerb or pothole impact.

  2. 02

    Fit the correct parts

Support the suspension correctly, renew specified fasteners and follow the vehicle’s installation and tightening procedure.

  3. 03

    Set the wheel geometry

Check toe, camber and caster as applicable, then adjust what the vehicle allows. Ride condition and other worn parts affect the result.

  4. 04

    Check the drive

Reassess the original noise and steering feel, road-test when safe and explain any remaining tyre or suspension work.

After collection, report a returning clunk, pull or off-centre steering wheel. Keep tyre pressures correct and retain the parts details and alignment report. Severely worn tyres may still need replacement even after the geometry is corrected.

A useful first message

Explain when the Cayenne changes direction or knocks

  • Your Cayenne year and model.
  • Whether the noise occurs over bumps, during braking or while steering.
  • Any recent pothole impact, tyre work or alignment.

You do not need to identify the failed arm yourself. We confirm the worn joint or bush before selecting parts.

Cayenne control arm questions

Can I drive with a worn lower control arm?

A noise alone cannot establish whether the Cayenne is safe to drive. Arrange an inspection promptly. If steering changes suddenly, the wheel sits incorrectly, the tyre touches the body or a joint appears separated, stop safely and arrange recovery.

Is wheel alignment included in your prices?

The arm and bushing estimates list alignment separately at AED 350–750 including VAT. The combined guide for one complete lower arm and alignment is AED 2,150–4,950. Your quotation confirms the actual work and total before fitting.

Can you replace a ball joint on its own?

That depends on the exact arm design and availability of a suitable service part. Where the joint is integrated or the arm and bushes are also worn, a complete assembly may be necessary or better value. We confirm this against the vehicle specification.

Will replacement fix uneven tyre wear?

It can stop unwanted wheel movement when that arm is responsible, followed by correct alignment. Existing tyre damage will not reverse. Tyre pressure, wheels, ride height and other joints may also need attention.

Does a lower control arm need coding?

A mechanical control arm itself does not normally require coding. Ride-height checks, sensor work or calibration may be needed if relevant components are disturbed or the vehicle procedure calls for them. These are identified separately.

Can I bring my own replacement arm?

Ask before buying it. The workshop needs to confirm fitment, missing hardware, fitting labour and the terms for customer-supplied parts. A new part with the wrong side, revision or joint arrangement can delay the repair.

What should I send for a quote?

Send your Cayenne model year, the noise or handling concern and when it happens. Mention any recent impact, tyre replacement or suspension work. The VIN can be checked later when confirming an exact part; you do not need to identify the failed arm yourself.
